Wondering what the connection is between Global Spa and Wellness and Wellness Tourism Worldwide? Before we became Wellness Tourism Worldwide, we went under the name of Global Spa and Wellness as a consultancy established in 2008. It's hard to believe we referred to ourselves as GSW. Sound familiar? We've migrated much of our information to this site so it would not be lost. We thought it was important to maintain some of our history; especially since it seems our chosen names (both Global Spa and Wellness and Wellness Tourism Worldwide) have proven to be quite popular!
The founder of both GSW and WTW, Camille Hoheb honed her craft at the forefront of the wellness tourism boom, realizing that wellness travel was more than spas and included healthcare, hospitality and tourism. While she helped others get a leg up on wellness tourism by volunteering 6 months for the Global Spa Summit in Turkey and chairing the first Spa and Wellness Tourism Tract at the Medical Tourism Congress Camille recognized the absence of a dedicated wellness tourism organization. Thus Wellness Tourism Worldwide was born.
Our approach, from the very start has been different, with the focus on concept development and promotion of wellness travel. We recognize that spa and medical tourism sectors now have a vested interest wellness in order to reposition and revitalize their industries in order to become more profitable.
While we outgrew Global Spa and Wellness, we've always maintained our focus on wellness . We believe Wellness is a Global Language and expanded upon that vision through WTW. Our mission: To improve well-being and economic growth through travel.
